Born in France in 1947, Paul Clerc-Renaud graduated with a French MBA of Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in 1970.
After setting up and managing subsidiaries for the French SACA group in Australia and New Zealand, he came to Hong Kong in 1977 where he has been a permanent resident ever since.
Since 1980, he has been the Managing Director of the Fargo Group which has its head office in Hong Kong and offices in the P.R.C., Vietnam and India.
He is a Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France (French Foreign Trade Advisor). He is also Honorary President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hong Kong, past chairman of the Europe Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a past director of the Hong Kong University - Pasteur Research Center.
He is an appointed Hong Kong member of the Hong Kong France Business Council as well as an Investment Promotion Ambassador of Invest Hong Kong. He is a Knight in the French National Order of Merit and an Officier in the French Legion d’Honneur Order and the Vice President of the Legion d’Honneur Club Hong Kong Chapter.
Mr. Clerc-Renaud resigned as Company Managing Director on 30th March, 2020. |
